Hi, I'm Piotr Dunajski. Some time ago, when I was associated with the Open Group - we started cooperation with the Idego Group. This is a Partner who supported us with his programmers. We were able to create the whole solution from the very beginning together. So I looked at our cooperation from a close perspective.

For what projects/services did your company hire Idego Group?

The Idego Group provided us with a high level of development and provided us with a group of three programmers who exchanged knowledge, contacted us and were able to create a system according to our idea. It is a platform that is able to service the user, provide him with an insurance offer, and conclude insurance in a simple and quick way. From the very beginning, the Idego Group has been entrusted with the task of creating a platform that will handle the needs of customers, agents, payments, including support for SMS gateways. The platform is simple and pleasant to use. It was a task that was done one hundred percent.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to create an innovative solution on the market at that time, which would allow us to quickly and transparently present the insurance offer and conclude a new insurance, and then easily handle it. The solution prepared by Idego Grup did it. The Idego Group met our expectations.

How did you select this vendor?

They were suggested to us by a friend client who used Idego Group services. We were in such a moment in our operation that we were very focused on software development. We had a real and specific need. Once the Idego Group turned out to be a team of experts who have been delivering products for consumers across the globe for 10 years and who know our business-we had no worries. I do not regret this command, because the Idego Group turned out to be a hit. Great development, reasonable prices, great timing and understanding of the market.

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

Grupa Otwarta - is a dashboard/web application that contained a number of functionalities directly related to the insurance industry. The amount of contributions, payment system, the ability to personalize the offer, and so on. From today's perspective, it may look like a classic solution for an insurance company. However, we were pioneers when it comes to personalizing the insurance offer for a specific customer.

What was the team composition?

The Idego Group supported us with a team of three programmers who communicated well with each other and with me. I knew perfectly well what was going on in the project, what would happen next week and whether we were able to deliver the functionality of our solution on time. Such a team size was adequate.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Of course. By creating this solution, we could reach him with the Insurance Company and insurance agent and show him something completely on the market. Insurance sales were at a high level. Which resulted in increased profits and further development. We have gained a lot of business experience thanks to the platform built by the Idego Group.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Our project team was new, we didn't have our own programmers, so I can only talk about communication between Idego programmers and our team. They were willing to cooperate. Their actions were transparent and specific, I didn't feel I didn't know something. Everything was clear. All misunderstandings were resolved immediately. Idego shared experiences and advised us on some issues regarding the choice of functionality and development itself.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Definitely their flexibility and approach to everyday communication. I felt that our software development was in good hands. It's a group of professionals that can adapt to any industry. In the case of InsurTech I am convinced that they are doing a great job.

1build uses machine intelligence to convert building blueprints into material shopping lists and cost estimates. It is a critical pain point for 3.2 mln builders in the US. We are on a mission to create a data-driven approach for humans and algorithms to collaborate on building design and construction. We were founded by top leaders hailing from technology and AEC industries who are passionate about re-imagining construction from first principles. I am the company Founder / CEO.

We did needed to develop an MVP of our product quickly and inexpensively to test our value proposition.

We needed to develop a web app that allows us to signup new customers, take payments, and offer cost estimation services.

Someone recommended Idego to me. I also asked them to complete a web development test, which they did with great success.

Idego provided us with several full-stack engineers who have a strong exposure to web development frameworks like Python and React.

2-3 junior full stack engineers. Unfortunately we were not provided a project manager.

We were able to develop an MVP of our product quickly and validate several assumptions we had about our market.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

We had to run project management ourselves. We primarily rely on Jira and Gitlab.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I'm impressed by how quickly the engineers are able to learn and how open they are to new challenges.

Please describe your company and your position there.

DIVE is a system designed for broadcasting various types of information in the form of texts, images, animations or videos. This information can be added by the customer using our CMS. In CMS you can create a playlist and add your own "posts" to it (text, image, video, etc.) or set another source of broadcast information, e.g. twitter, facebook, instagram, etc. Everything happens in the browser. The created playlist can be tested immediately by going to Player through the generated URL. A lot of teams in corporate relations spend hours working on powerpoint decks and the minute they put them online, they are out of date. Our software pulls live tweets and places content on digital displays in real time, so that everyone can connect to live information. My name is Deborah and and I'm the CEO of Dive Networks.

For what projects/services did your company hire Idego Group?

Idego Group is currently the most involved development company at DIVE. From design support to making the smallest corrections. They participate in the implementation of almost every (nearly 100%) new functionality, patches or changes in architecture. At the moment Idego Group is the most valuable development company that support with adding / changing most of the code.

What were your goals for this project?

Thanks to the support of the Idego Group, we were able to expand our current development and release new functionalities to the light of day. Support from the Idego Group programmers is really important because it allows us to create a real advantage. On a daily basis, Idego Group deals with literally everything related to the code: log monitoring, fixes, new functionalities, hunting for small patches, tests, implementation, etc. From the front to the back-end.

How did you select this vendor?

At the time we were looking for programming support, the Idego Group fit perfectly in our timing and project requirements.. It just turned out that they have great developers who understand the specifics of the project and have great communication skills. Our discussions on supporting us when it comes to software development did not last long. The Idego Group had ready-to-work developers, and we had specific software needs that required care.

DIVE is a solution developed to broadcast various types of information in text, image, animation, or video formats. Using our CMS, the Customer can add this information. The flexibility of Idego Group is their amazing bargaining card. Initially, our project was supported by two Idego developers, but over time great development meant that one programmer was needed. So at present Idego Group is created by one person solutions for us.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Dive Networks, has grown & produced a very high value on the market. After having this approach we have been able to go with it to the client and give him something new on the market. Our revenues have jumped to a whole new level. We consolidated our profits which allowed us to develop as a company. We have acquired a huge amount of company experience and this is because of the Idego Group.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Our cooperation is very developmental, cooperative and contains a lot of communication. Our person responsible for project management is very pleased with the Idego Group and the hard work done by their programmers. We are very grateful for their daily work and updating us about development progress. Thanks to this, we can literally take care of our project in everyday iterations and improve it without losing sight of the end of the project.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The quality of our team that we got with Idego was second to none. The Idego Group is incredibly open to solving problems, not delving into momentary stumbles. We appreciate it very much, because on the road of development there are literally many obstacles to passing. The Idego Group is great at dealing with new challenges.

Please describe your company and your position there.

Vemco is a company with very large requirements and needs that we had to meet. The company is a producer and distributor of systems for registration and settlement of working time, staff service and access control, and with this type of tasks we had to face. Our cooperation began with a project to record working time for regular employees and temporary employees. A great project in which we worked in a larger group of programmers, software architects and we expanded our skills. What do I do? Analysis of functional requirements and translating them into a solution concept. Creating a solution design - system functions, reports, interfaces to external systems, building mockups of the designed solution. Realization of implementation works, tests, and training. Cooperation with a development team in the software development process. Planning and coordination of changes in systems.

For what projects/services did your company hire Idego Group?

Cooperation with the Idego Group is not one short project, but long-term cooperation and huge programming support. In total, we are working on another project, in total there were three. The first project is the extension of our development department with additional Idego programmers. In this project we have created, which records the working time of employees in our company. Another project is again Idego's programming support. They created for us a team of programmers who created for us (from scratch) an application used to implement the provisions of the Act on the protection of personal data. Third project? Idego Group expanded our development team once again., They created an application (from scratch) used to record people during the evacuation.

What were your goals for this project?

First of all, Idego Group services that solved a specific problem for us was to support their external developers who created the code remotely. All these projects, i.e. the application for recording people working in the company, the application for implementing the provisions of the Act on the protection of personal data and the application for recording people during the evacuation were created by Idego Group and our developers.

How did you select this vendor?

Idego Group contacted us at the right place and time. We just needed support at that time and we had a specific and separate budget for creating the above solutions. What made Idego Group stand out is their ability to quickly create a development team and a real understanding of our situation. I liked the individual approach to Vemco - the company I work for.

Project 1: They expanded our programming team. They designed an application for recording people working in the company, which was to verify working time. (it was about contracts) Project 2: They expanded our team again. They created an application (from scratch) to implement the provisions of the Personal Data Protection Act. The RODO module enables two-stage work. The first stage is the registration of the application, the second stage subjecting the application to an appropriate process, e.g .: Anonymisation Pseudonymization Restriction of processing Project 3: They expanded our team. They created an application (from scratch) to record people during evacuation.

What was the team composition?

Each time, despite the fact that Idego designed applications and created them from scratch, it does not mean that we did not have a development team on our side. This collaboration goes so well because, we have experienced developers behind us who understood the Idego Group, development team. The technical base of experience has helped to achieve great cooperation. At Idego Group, we appreciate their flexibility and the fact that they approach their partners with such individuality. We still felt cared for and knew perfectly well what was going on every day. Idego Group is above all great people with highly developed communication skills.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Definitely yes. The result is delivering development within a specified time and budget without any shortcomings. Our rating, i.e. 5 stars, did not come from anywhere. Our business could gain even more momentum so as to enter a new level. However, for us at the very end, people are always the most important. Idego Group, despite the fact that they are great developers, are also very cool people. Thanks to this cooperation, great contacts were made.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Thanks to the fact that Idego Group has expanded the Vemco development team, we can simply say that it was a lot to us. Thanks to this, we thoroughly understood communication on the part of Idego Group with technical threads. We didn't have any communication problems at all and we have a great time working. Thanks to the Agile approach, we know exactly what we will do each day. Weekly summaries allow us to determine with a cool head where we are in the project and whether we are going in the right direction together.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The Idego Group is headquartered in Gdynia, and ours in Gdańsk. We are almost from the same city. This is a very big plus, in case of any problems we can just meet and talk about the problem. Also the location is a big plus, certainly also the fact that the Idego Group has very good developers who want to develop and feel that they are betting on new solutions and innovation. They are happy to share knowledge and experience. They often suggest solutions that we would not come up with ourselves. A huge plus is the ability to expand the team at any time if we needed support today - we know that Idego Group would create another team of developers for us.

Are there any areas for improvement?

No, we give them 5 stars because we are convinced of the quality of their work and we can confidently recommend them. Great location, people who can listen and talk - and they have a mindset that is often lacking: problem-solving.

Please describe your company and your position there.

I am currently managing the development of a product that is being tested and used for companies in the automotive sector like BMW, Daimler and Honda. In this role I have several responsibilities including: design and implement agile methodologies, design software architectural solutions, lead the development team, define and decide tasks that should be developed during the sprints and guarantee the quality of the product.

As a parallel activity I am being responsible to implement Information Security doing Risk Analysis Management and implementing the mitigation plan.

For what projects/services did your company hire Idego Group?

Our company - Teraki, needed the support of real professionals who know their programming profession. Idego Group was a solution we needed -, the team of developers could help us create the solution we planned. At the moment when Idego's development team solved our problem - no development team. We could grow our business even faster and afford better time management.

What were your goals for this project?

Our idea for a solution that was to find application in the Automotive industry was to bring our business to the next level. It happened thanks to our excellent market analysis. With the passage of time and the development of our solution, we decided to use AI technology. It was another great decision.

How did you select this vendor?

We had a real need - to build a team of programmers who would understand our needs and support us in programming. And Idego Group had a team of developers available. A pure example of a win-win situation. Idego asked us with a question, it turned out that our fit is the most suitable. This is how our cooperation began.

Teraki is a key driver for scaling of Insurance, Predictive Maintenance and Autonomous Driving Applications by enabling access to more qualitative data. Teraki begins doing so, by identifying most relevant data already at the embedded side and transmitting this data in the most compact form possible.

This is done while maintaining the customers key KPIs based on latest state of the art AI based data processing schemes. As such, Teraki’s software enables to fulfill low-latency SLAs required by the end-user and ultimately to adapt key KPIs such as cost-per-mile at the highest precision and lowest latency. Teraki enables to bridge the gap towards true autonomy, bridging the gap of 5G and automotive hardware cost efficiency

What was the team composition?

Idego Group has supported us with a flexible team of developers. At the beginning we had several developers who dealt with backend. Idego as professionals involved in web development - they took care of the web application. The support of four Idego programmers is worth a lot to us. Our developers remain in cooperation sometimes so that there will be no future mistakes in the development. We value the fact that Idego approaches us so flexibly and in case of need - they could expand the current team of developers literally during the week.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

The most important element that helped us achieve success in the automotive industry is definitely nearshoring of development services to the Idego Group. Thanks to lower costs - we didn't have to hire programmers for our office, we didn't have to expand the office space - all these things were on the Idego Group side.

Our solution is used by large players on the Automotive market, so we can say that we are successful and want to achieve even more of them. The Idego Group certainly contributed to this.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Good question. First of all, it is worth emphasising the fact that at the end of every business or solution to a problem is a human being. Thanks to daily communication, we owe great relationships that are key when creating development remotely.

I am responsible for planning, implementing, defining the direction and verifying the stages of the project. I am also a person at the meeting point of development and management. The workflow between Teraki and the Idego Group is great. Thanks to the Agile approach, we solve problems on an ongoing basis and avoid a tiered approach.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Cooperation with the Idego Group is simply professionalism that takes into account the human factor. At the moment when the Idego Group responds to all needs, it is flexible and offers us, excellent developers, at really affordable prices - we are very pleased.

Are there any areas for improvement?

No cooperation is perfect, although we take into account the constant development of cooperation. Together, we search for improvements, eliminate misunderstandings and develop our cooperation. What could be better?

We are an e-commerce platform that specializes in selling well-being and health goods in Southern Europe.

What challenge were you trying to address with Idego Group?

The marketplace for tech developers in Barcelona is very competitive, and it was difficult to find a local company at a rate we could afford. We needed a team to help us, so looked further afield to find the right vendor.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Since we had trouble finding a company at first, we did as much as we could internally to build our own enterprise resource planning system. We didn’t have the expertise we needed, so Idego Group helped us develop the management tools we needed. They used Python and Django to build the backend and React for the frontend.

What is the team composition?

So far, we work with one full-time developer and a project manager on their side.

How did you come to work with Idego Group?

We chose to work with them for the cost advantage and for the personal touch of their CEO. We had a Skype call with him first, then we met in person to discuss similar projects they worked on previously. Ultimately, they were the best options among the candidates, so we decided to hire them.

How much have you invested with them?

Our average expenditure is around 4,000 € (approximately $4,500 USD) per month for 11 months, for a total of around 45,000 € (approximately $51,000 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in January 2018 and the collaboration is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The tool is used for our internal purposes, so it’s challenging to track key performance indicators with hard data. We have increased productivity within our catalog team and have a tool that is tailored to our needs. Without their help, this kind of project would have taken at least twice as much time.

How did Idego Group perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management is wonderful. We were reluctant to try an external developer at first, but they managed themselves brilliantly. We use Jira to track issues, and they provide reports on everything they work on. They’re like a team member who works remotely. It’s hard to differentiate them from our internal team.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We are happiest about the quality of code they provide. They have no trouble building complex code and managing complicated integrations with third-party sources. It would be impossible to find this kind of quality in a local company for a comparable cost.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I have no complaints, and am very happy with the results. It would be great if they had a higher level of Spanish, and we occasionally had issues in English, but other than that, everything went wonderfully.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Work with them. In my experience, CTOs are often reluctant to externalize, but the room for improvement in your company is huge if you work with them. Plan what you want to accomplish and define what you need, and the experience will be awesome.

Introduce your business and what you do there.

Our company is BF International. We are in the transportation business; we do full truck loading (FTL). We are based in Poland and provide domestic transport, export, and import. We mainly do waste transport and other products.

What challenge were you trying to address with Idego Group?

The transportation market is out of date, still documenting everything on paper. My business partner and I felt there was a need to digitalize the way we work.

What was the scope of their involvement?

After finding Idego, we told them what we wanted to do, and we started to think of ideas of how to convert everything to digital and what could be done more efficiently. They came back to us with ideas about how to speed up our work on our databases.

We subcontract the transport and have haulers who rent cars from us, and we have a large database. Each time we look for a car, for example from Warsaw to Berlin, we have to call 10 different companies to get the information from the market of how much it will cost and when they can load the trucks. This is a large amount of data, which can be used later.

Idego came to us with the idea of preparing a simple application that can manage the data in a two-step process by entering the postal code of the area you want to load the transport and the location where you want to reload it. From the database, you would get the top three closest possible companies that provide transport from Warsaw to Berlin according to the historical data that we collected. It makes it easier for the people who work in transport who complete 10–15 transports daily. If they are connecting with 10 companies on each transport, the database expands. The application contains all the data, and I can easily fill in the postal code of one location to another and get the information that I need. Idego used Python and Django to develop the app. The app is very user-friendly. It is custom made and fits our needs well.

What is the team dynamic?

We had three people from their team working on this project. We worked mostly with Piotr [Owner of Idego Group], and we were also in contact with two specialists; one who worked on the interface, and the other worked on the mechanism and making sure that everything works.

How did you come to work with Idego Group?

We were looking for a local company that has innovative ideas. Their cost fit our budget, and the communication flow with Piotr was really good. We became close friends during the course of the project.

How much have you invested in them?

Their price was comparable to other firms in the market.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Idego in July 2017, and the relationship is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We are now able to get things done more quickly, and we are more accurate with our quotations for clients. We had been writing down everything in a notebook previously, which was easy to lose, and it’s hard to remember everything you write down. Everything is now in one place, and the data is available for everybody. Everyone is happy with the app. I can see the number of clients we can handle per day and per month is growing, which I believe is due to Idego’s contribution.

How did Idego Group perform from a project management standpoint?

We were in touch through email. We spoke on the phone at least once a week, and we also had meetings at least once a month regarding the progress of the project.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They fit our needs and were always available to answer any questions we had. Everything was scheduled, and we knew what they were doing. They updated us along the way, and they provided us with a high level of customer service.

Are there any areas they could improve?

It was luck that we found them even though they are in the same building as us. Something they could work on is marketing, as the only way I found them was by walking through our building. They should think about promoting themselves to get their brand name out.

My company is an online marketplace for beauty products. We are a small group of six to seven people situated in Gothenburg.

What is your position?

I’m the founder and Chief Executive Officer of the company.

What business challenge were you trying to address with Idego Group?

We were in the process of transitioning from in-house to outsourced resources. We evaluated a number of companies for outsourcing and finally ended up working with Idego.

Please describe the scope of their involvement in greater detail.

They helped us with the entire platform, everything from front end, back end, to server maintenance if needed.

How did you come to work with Idego Group?

The first reason we decided to go with them while evaluating a number of agencies was their great communication. We’ve outsourced before and have never really been satisfied. The second part was that our platform is built on the Django framework in Python, which Idego specializes in. It was clear that they are very skilled and have deep knowledge of those technologies, which was really important for us. The third thing was that they could deliver quickly.

Could you provide a sense of the size of this initiative in financial terms?

We have Idego Group on a monthly retainer.

What is the status of this engagement?

We are currently working with them.

Could you share any statistics or metrics from this engagement?

They provide good development resources that work and can produce the things that we want. We have a pretty tight scope of the product, so we know in detail what we want. It can be challenging to produce that, but they’re doing a great job at it.

How did Idego Group perform from a project management standpoint?

They have done very well. The best example is today; it’s an international holiday, and they are still putting in at least half of a working day to get stuff done because we have a big release next week. They’re quick in response, transparent, and they’re easy to work with.

What distinguishes Idego Group from other providers?

We worked with outsourced resources before and bad communication can be very difficult and can mess up a project. They have consistently kept us in the loop. I’ve worked on projects where the team might know that what they are doing will create problems later and they don’t tell us. With Idego Group, we have a  transparent dialogue and are finding out stuff much quicker so that we can avoid problems as much as possible.

Is there anything Idego Group could have improved or done differently?

I would say no; we didn’t have any issues with Idego Group.

Please describe your organization.

My company is called Kcalmar. We sell a web-based software for nutritionists. We also have two mobile apps for this. The software helps nutritionists create meal plans, manage and keep records of their patients, and schedule visits.

What is your position?

I am the Chief Executive Officer.  

What business challenge were you trying to address with Idego Group?

We needed a few extra developers to help us with work.

About a month ago I turned to them for additional developers. They provided us with one senior developer, one junior, and a product manager.

How did you come to work with Idego Group?

Last year we were working with an external IT company that didn’t come on projects a number of times. We found Idego and realized that they have a Python/Django-specialized software house.

What is the status of this engagement?

The relationship is ongoing.

How did Idego Group perform from a project management standpoint?

I'm satisfied with what they are doing and the level of dedication they show. The work they are accomplishing is very well done. There are no major delays on their side, which is important. One time, the senior developer fell ill but he kept working. He wasn’t able to be there full-time, but he and his team came through when a number of problems were arising.

Is there anything Idego Group could have improved or done differently?

We didn't really have a chance to fully see their potential, but I'm very happy.

Please provide a description of your company.

I work for a holding company for a number of Polish insurance companies. We have a nationwide network of branch offices, and are headquartered in Sopot, Poland. [We are] the second largest insurance agency in Poland in terms of collected insurance premium tax.

What is your role at the company?

I’m one of our sales managers.

What was the business challenge that you were trying to address when you approached Idego?

We were looking to improve the management of our sales processes, in order to track metrics and make improvements. We had problems with the various CRM [customer relationship management] systems we tried. We decided to build a custom solution in cooperation with Idego.

What were your company’s business goals for the project?

Our business goal was to create a Web app designed to improve the sales process of group life insurance. Optimization of the sales process has increased our revenues.

Can you talk about the scope of the project?

The works spanned the entire software development process of the project and the creation of the required documentation as well as its implementation and various stages of testing.

What was your process for selecting Idego with which to work?

We selected Idego based on the referral of a colleague.

Can you give a sense of the size of the project in dollar terms or personnel work hours?

This is confidential information.

When was the project completed?

The first stage of the project was completed in 2011. We've been implementing new versions of the project each year.

What were the results of the project, and are there any metrics you can share?

The results have been very positive. Our latest version of the application is being used by hundreds of our salespeople.

How did Idego perform?

They performed very well. We have no complaints regarding their work.

When working with them, was there anything unique or special about them compared to other companies with which you may have worked?

They have a very good communication process, the speed of the changes when we would request something was incredible. They were very flexible in meeting our demands.

Looking back on the project, is there any area that they could improve or you would do differently?

The software build and implementation stages went extremely well. I would say the documentation requirements and planning could have gone a little better.
